REALITY WARPING?????

#1 Posted by xmenfallen (1355 posts) - - Show Bio

it said that her powers is reality warping so she can do anything right like if she wishes to kill a person it will just happen is that how her powers work or she has limits in her powers

@xmenfallen: That's how her powers worked in House of M.  But, as of right now, no one even knows if she has active powers.

but she can basically do anything she wishes right????

No, her powers work on mathematical basis. They have a certain chance of success and failure.

i liked when her powers were simpler and really based on probability, like the probability of a newly built bridge collapsing from the effects of age.

@xmenfallen: there are different levels of reality warping. Just because she is A RW (probability) does not make her omnipotent.

@crimsonspider89: so her powers dont actually happen the way she likes to happened

her powers warp reality, yes. also they we're augmented by her becoming a magic user.
at best she remade the entirety of reality just by flipping out, an effect which extended into
the cosmos itself. and her powers used to be " random ", but she since showed that she
learned control, particularly when she decisively bound the mutant gene in a single word.

But that is still based on math. It has a 30% of success. M-Day was just luck. That was all.

so her powers work like if she was falling and she thinks to herself that she wants to survive the fall her powers will make her fly or teleport her into a safe place or have hundred pillows below to break her fall is that how her powers work her powers will only do the main thing that is for her to be safe

@crimsonspider89:
cant agree with that sorry. she said no more mutants, with the intention and direction of
doing so, and hit every mutant within reach to her. thats not luck, and to say it is would be
mathematically improbable. saying the 198 got lucky it missed them would be sound.
also she trained to regain better control of her powers by augmenting them with magic under
Agatha Harkness, the 30% ratio of success is from an old Handbook entry, and out of date.
to add to it, the House Of M reality was manufactured and tailored exactly to her specific designs in
her imagination. again, not random. the random hex powers are old school Wanda.

to elaborate, Wanda created the HoM via suggestion from her brother Quicksilver while in a confused state herself. n the House Of M Reality mutants, her and her brothers kind were the no longer outcasts via being the ruling class, with Wanda's immediate family, being herself, her father Magneto, brother Quicksilver, and half-sister Polaris were the ruling elite. all of her friends got exactly the lives they always wanted to keep them occupied from the truth of the matter, most becoming superstars in fact. also notable is during this she reacreated Clint Barton, and when he tried to kill her, she dispearsed him with the wave of a hand. then of course came the end. notable again was the fact that the first two specified targets of the M-Day effect where Quicksilver and Magneto as a punishment. all of this was definatly directed, not random.

That only applies to her Ultimate counter part, who had to calculate the mathematical probability to cause an effect.

But the 616 didn't all she needed was concentration and gestures to make her powers work. For precise effect she need to focus on what she wanted to happen, but didn't need to calculated the probability fields.

Proabably, if it was Arcanna then pillows would fall from the skies or flowers since thats all she does, make flowers. But Arcanna did have flying powers.

As for Wanda yes she can achieve the same effect, in Avenger's Disassembled she manage to fly.
