A tear for Stegman 0

Scarlet Spider #5 was very good; I am enjoying what Christopher Yost is doing with the characters. I was just too upset to fully take it in. The fact that Ryan Stegman is gone from the title bothers me to no end... he was the pillar of this series. Please check my mini-review here:http://bit.ly/JPBO9MComments and feedback are always welcome!...

Scarlet Spider #5 0

Writing 4.5/5Christopher yet again makes a great issue. This one is completely self-containing. I would like to see a real story arc but if the stories continue to be as good as this one, I don't really mind. The problems that I had with the writing of this book were very small but nevertheless there. Not too hard right?Five issues in, and Kaine is still reluctant to play hero, but when he has to, he'll do whatever it takes to get the job done even if he has to get rough. Even though this was a one shot issue, Chris Yost decides to raise the stakes by adding a nuclear bomb to go off in Houston.Kaine still has a lot to learn when it comes to being a noble superhero....but where's the fun in that? Unlike Peter, Ka...

Strong and Consistent 0

I have been waiting a while to do a review of "Scarlet Spider" by Chris Yost to get a good overview of how this title will stack up a few issues in. Overall, Scarlet Spider has been really enjoyable for a plethora of reasons. The first few issues greatly highlighted Kaine in this title, as something unique and separate from a Spider-man spin-off.As far as the artwork goes, both artists Ryan Stegman (issues 1-4) and Neil Edwards (issue 5) do something really special with the newly costumed Scarle...
