Award given out yearly at San Diego Comic Con that recognizes excellence for writers who never got their due credit in the industry. 2 awards are given out: one for an artist postmortem and another to one who is still alive.
A Comic Book Convention, often referred to as a "Comic-Con", is a gathering or event where comic book fans, collectors, artists, writers, publishing companies, and vendors attend to celebrate, promote, and sell comic books and related media. Comic Book Conventions are held in various countries throughout the world besides the United States of America.
The Eisner Awards recognize artistic excellence in the comic book industry. Created in 1987 and named after the legendary Will Eisner, the awards are presented annually at Comic-Con in San Diego.
Award given yearly in San Diego from Comic Con International, the Inkpot Award honors selected creators in attendance as well as members of the board and committees since 1974.
