Is Sam Alexander do anything else besides warn the Avengers?

I mean I would really like to see him do something in Avengers vs X-men. or at least the fall out form it. Maybe he will be a member of The Avengers afterwards, or possibly get his own Nova series. I see it as sort of a waste if he just shows up and they don't use him in anything else afterwards. I know he is injured at the moment, so he probably can't do much in Avengers vs. Xmen.
