I've been wondering this for awhile, we know that pretty much any villain on Earth is taken to wherever Salvation Run is taking place (not even checkmate knows)

But I wonder, why is Catwoman in this event? She hasn't been a villain for a while and altough I may be the only one to care, but why are Thunder and Lightning in this?

just like John says, they don't belong there

what do people think? what, did Checkmate just decided that even when they are heroes now they would capture anyone who had ever been a villain?

He's over come his fear of fire in a number of different story arcs, the most recent being the Burning (the Fernus story) in JLA. There was a mini series before that (back in 1988) that also saw him deal with it. Those are off the top of my head, there are probably others.
