Invincible Iron Man #3 (second print cover)
This is pretty cool. I guess we can hope that issue #4 sells out too to see what armor they'll use next . Even though it was such a departure in color and design, I kinda liked the red and white. It was different. I'm glad they changed it back but it was a fun time in Iron Man's history. That was when I really enjoyed and liked the Iron Man comics. Today, even with the awesome movie, I can take them or leave them. I liked who he was back then versus this big world leader SHIELD commander type person.
How about Nick Fury takes SHIELD back and Tony goes back to being Iron Man full time? But Nick's doing his Secret Warriors/Commandos thing now. We'll see.
Invincible Iron Man #3 Returns With New Printing

Marvel urges retailers to check their orders on Invincible Iron Man, as the series continues to astound all readers and fly off store shelves! Is Zeke Stane smarter than Tony Stark? As cool as the idea of Iron Man running S.H.I.E.L.D., I'd rather see adventures outside of that. Tony Stark as a government bureaucrat just isn't that exciting to me. You can't really have him go on espionage missions (like he did when he went to Madripoor). That just doesn't make sense. As a high ranking dude in office, he shouldn't be placing himself in danger, no matter how well he can handle himself on his own with armor. He just seems so stuffy as the S.H.I.E.L.D. director. I don't know how but Nick Fury just always made it look cool, even wearing one of those blue jump suits. I really really liked the classic Iron Man stories. The current ones have just been so far from those.
At least with
Invincible Iron Man, things seem a little different. I guess with the numerous recent Iron Man series, they were bound to get it right. Maybe it's because we're all still on the sugar-rush after seeing the movie. The movie is helping these to sell out. So make sure you don't miss out.
Invincible Iron Man Continues to Rocket Off and Soar High This summer’s biggest blockbuster super-hero continues to launch into action in his new ongoing series! So, get your energy shields and repulsor rays ready and suit up for The Invincible Iron Man #3! Ezekiel Stane, the son of Iron Man’s notorious arch-nemesis, Iron Monger, is out for revenge for the death of his father. After the jaw dropping conclusion of the last issue, critically acclaimed writer, Matt Fraction (The Immortal Iron Fist, upcoming Uncanny X-Men) thrusts the Golden Avenger against a threat in which he has never faced before! With breath-taking art from super-star artist, Salvador Larocca (Uncanny X-Men), Iron Man may not live long enough to see the end of this exciting storyline!
Entertainment Weekly raves, “Fraction manages to transcend clichés. He finds his footing amid issue 2, where he delivers a one-two punch of both escalating cliffhangers and winky wit.…You get the feeling Fraction just may get a similar sort of thrill from penning this book.”
Marvel urges retailers to check their orders on The Invincible Iron Man as the series continues to sell out quickly! Marvel has already gone back to press on the first two issues as fans crave to blast off and ride the Iron Man excitement.
Will Ezekiel Stane succeed in trying to destroy his sworn enemy, Iron Man? Has Iron Man finally met his match? Find out the answers to these questions and more in The Invincible Iron Man #3!

Wow, that's quite a few covers. I'm not a huge fan of the variant covers. It's more the idea of paying more for a really cool cover. It's bad enough how much comics cost these days. I'm not going to shell out more for the same insides. I do like the 50-50 covers. At least that way, you have a choice which cover you want. Iron Man's going to have three variants? Wonder what the distribution ratio will be for those. I suppose the retailers will be oredering more copies to get a hold of those variants. Funny how Marvel is really pushing Iron Man all of a sudden. You'd think he has a movie or something coming out...
Marvel is proud to unveil three new variants covers to this May’s hotly anticipated Invincible Iron Man #1! From legendary Iron Man artist Bob Layton (Iron Man: Legacy Of Doom), plus rising star artists Billy Tan (Uncanny X-Men) and Marko Djurdjevic (Thor), come three stunning new covers to the new series from red-hot writer Matt Fraction (Immortal Iron Fist, Punisher War Journal, upcoming Uncanny X-Men) and acclaimed artist Salvador Larroca (Amazing Spider-Man, Uncanny X-Men)! These covers join the powerful 50/50 covers from Larroca and Marvel Editor-In-Chief Joe Quesada!
A perfect jumping-on point for new readers and for old fans alike, this all-new Iron Man series pits the Armored Avenger against a man who just may be his greatest enemy! Featuring all your favorite Iron Man characters, from Pepper Potts to James Rhodes, Invincible Iron Man #1 begin an all-new, action-packed, status-quo shattering ongoing series that you can’t afford to miss!
Retailers, please note that Invincible Iron Man is also previewed in the upcoming Iron Man/Hulk Sampler, an unprecedented, free 32 page special that previews all the major upcoming Iron Man and Hulk releases. This sampler is perfect for distribution at movie theaters, Free Comic Book Day, and any other promotional efforts, providing a perfect introduction into the world of the stars of this summers two most anticipated blockbuster films!

...And Marvel.Com Has Your First Look
Oh look, another new Iron Man comic. It's been sooo hard for me to read Iron Man. I just have not been all that interested in his comics. Extremis, return of Mandarin, I'm not even sure what's going on. I don't think it has anything to do with his jerkiness or being responsible for the Death of Steve Rogers. They just seem boring. I find him more interesting in Mighty Avengers and even Captain America. It's like all his other comic appearances are more interesting. I just can't put my finger on it. I used to really enjoy the comic. I'm tallking 80s and 90s. I am looking forward to the movie and hopefully this will redeem my opinion of him. I do really really like Matt Fraction's writing. And who doesn't like Salvador Larocca? So this Iron Man series at least has that going for it.
On May 2nd, fans around the world will experience the summer’s most anticipated film of the year—Iron Man—but that’s not the only big news for fans of the armored avenger as THE INVINCIBLE IRON MAN debuts! Warren Ellis,
Salvador Larroca
I think a lot of people missed out on this series.
From the critically acclaimed team of Warren Ellis & Salvador Larroca came the first volume of newuniversal, an epic new story showing how very real people are affected by an event that grants superpowers to a handful of humans. With this summer’s release of newuniversal: Everything Went White Premiere HC, the question on everyone’s mind is the same: when do we get the next “season” of this powerful epic series?
Marvel is pleased to announce that 2008 will see the return of newuniversal to comic stands, as the second season kicks off with the kind of bang you’d expect from Warren Ellis, the mind behind Nextwave and Thunderbolts. Like your favorite television dramas, the creative team behind this hit comic book series is taking some time off to return even bigger and bolder than before, with two factions fighting for control of Earth’s superhuman population.
“I’m thrilled at the reception to this series,” says Executive Editor Axel Alonso. “And Season One only scratched the surface of the newuniverse.”
Don’t be left out—pick up the first collection of newuniversal this summer, the series that Newsarama.Com’s Lucas Siegel declared a “relevant” story for our times, gushing that Ellis & Larroca have produced, “a truly cool superhuman story.”

And here's a preview for X-Men #201. (Hope you've already read issue #200).
Marvel is pleased to announce that X-Men #200 and X-Men: Endangered Species One-Shot have sold out at Diamond (though copies may be available at the retail level). Marking the beginning of major changes for the X-Men, both these sold-out issues set the X-Men on a collision course with their own mortality, the newly re-formed Marauders and events they can’t possibly see coming! As Endangered Species begins, and Messiah Complex looms on the horizon, the X-Men may not survive the
“I think that the creators did a terrific job,” said Newsarama.Com’s Troy Brownfield of Endangered Species. “This one-shot works smartly and cleanly.”
Richard George of IGN.Com deemed X-Men #200 a “must-read,” explaining that, “Carey brings [Gambit & Maruaders] on board in a way that is guaranteed to hook you on the series.”
Marvel currently has no plans to go back to press on X-Men #200 and X-Men: Endangered Species One-Shot. As Endangered Species heats up and the Marauders continue their revenge on the X-Men, no Marvel fan can afford to miss these earth shattering events that will leave mutantkind changed forever. The X-Men have been beaten down by the Marauders, suffered the loss of a major ally and must save their own species…and it’s only going to get worse for them! Fans can also pick up the red-hot poster of David Finch’s stunning cover to X-Men #200, in stores now!

The previews from Marvel are just pouring in. Not gonna lie, I love Salvador Larroca's art.
"Spider-Man’s life changing Back In Black story continues in a very special issue of Sensational Spider-Man, so special it needed extra pages! In Sensational Spider-Man Annual #1, both Peter Parker and Mary Jane are faced with major decisions that will affect everyone in their lives. How far will Peter go to save Aunt May? Will Mary Jane be able to survive this life of deception and secrets much longer? Will a person from Mary Jane's romantic past force her to reconsider her future as Spider-Man's wife? Written by rising star Matt Fraction (Immortal Iron Fist, Punisher War Journal) and featuring art from Salvador Larroca (newuniversal), including Romita-esque flashback sequences that you need to see to believe, this Annual is nothing short of, well, sensational."
Marvel is also pleased to announce that Sensational Spider-Man #36 has sold out at Diamond. This sell out means that all “Back In Black” issues released thus far have sold out at Diamond, the latest in a long line of recent successes for the wall crawler. There are no plans to go back to press at this time, though copies may still be available at local retailers.
