    Will hang

This issue revolves around a standard Western cliché, that of being saved from the gallows, but as with all clichés if the material is handled in an original way then there is something to be said for the story itself.  To the benefit of this issue that is the story here as Anna is led away to hanged by the mind controlled townsfolk.  Her origin story is tied into the happenings as well as is the moment which is essentially required of every hero, that when they decide to choose their destiny and how to use their powers.  As a heroic character it is easy to see where this goes for Anna, although the route itself is seemingly not as clear.  This issue more so than the others also establishes her arch nemesis as an entity truly to be feared.  As this miniseries is kind of two series in one, this is the end of the introduction to the character, but in three issues it has done a decent job at with this task.
