    Pretty good

    If I had to describe this issue with one word, it would be unconventional. Staples' art is engaging and the execution is, at times, unusual, but everything works well together and manages to mesh quite nicely.

    I gave it four stars because while I enjoyed it, it wasn't all that amazing.

    As an aside, the plot summary for this page is pretty horrible....

      I just stepped into a comic book shop for the first time in a long while to pick up the first issue of Saga. Judging just by the cover, which shows a horned man, and a winged woman who is nursing a baby, I knew it was probably going to be a bit stranger than what I would normally pick up. But Brian K.       What the eff did I just read? I was just browsing through my comic shop's shelves, looking for some Avengers Vs X-Men titles tie-ins that aren't on my pull list when I saw Saga. The name rang a bell, like something I should be checking out. The clean, simple, and mostly white cover drew my attention. The characters seemed like something out of WoW, which isn't normally my cup of tea.
