Screw Daken, that kid is a dim wit, and even if Wild Child did beat down Logan I don't think he can hold his own in the type of fued Victor and Logan had. I still believe that it's all an elaborate hoax. I'm thinking it's a clone because how would a character as smart and strong willed as him let that happen? He also doesn't speak at all, he says a few words and then boom, head is gone. His healing ability is better than Wolverine's, so I think it'd at least be able to withstand the blade. Plus he appears as an older version in Old Man Logan, which I think is a hint at him being alive still. Romulus would use him if he sided with him, he is a VERY valuable asset. My opinion is it is a clever ruse to make Wolverine put his guard down, something big is coming from Victor I think.
