    I remember a lot of episodes in BTAS featured Rupert Throne and I was wondering how come? I mean the character never really was a big player in the comic and I don't think he even had a recent appearance in the comics for years.

    The same reason Carmine Falcone was featured in Batman Begins. That was probably just Dini and Timm's choice of main mobster for the show.
