    Dead End Kids Part 3

The frankly brilliant Jo Chen.  The storyline of this issue involves the Runaways going back in time about 100 years and so, to maintain cover, start to wear the apparell of the time.  Chen brings across the fashions of the time terrifically, using the 'ye olde' tinted photo effect that has become ubiquitous in malls all over the world.  I love the way the characters (and presumably the photographer) are completely unfazed at posing with their pet dinosaur, Old Lace.  I also like the detail at the bottom of the cover, with the Marvel logo being transposed onto some kind of emblem.  If you like Jo's art (and did I mention that I loved it), you should check out her brilliant Buffy covers as well.
