Issues #13-18 - This volume starts off by showing the origin off the Pride explaining how the Runaways parents were all chosen to be in the Pride and why. The police find the Hostel and the Runaways are forced to abandon the Hostel. The Runaways discover that a ritual called the Rite Of Thunder is about to take place and they head there to stop their parents. If you have been reading the Runaways up to this point then you know that there is a mole within the group who has been leaving messages for their parents saying that he/she is still loyal to them. Well the mole is finally revealed to be none other than Alex. We find out why he turned on the rest of the Runaways and how the Rite Of Thunder ceremony goes all wrong and lives are lost. A special appearance is made by none other than Captain America himself as he answers questions in a press conference pertaining to the recent events involving the Runaways. The remaining Runaways are all put in different homes but one night they all sneak out and meet up where they did the night they found out about their parents secret. They all go to rescue Gertrude's dinosaur Old Lace. After that they decide to stick together, not wanting to go back to their separate homes and all leave together in the Leapfrog.
An important volume in the series as a lot questions are finally answered but it does leave a few open for the future. Did all the members of the Pride really die? What does the future hold for the rest of the Runaways? I know I can't wait to continue reading and see what happens next. If you like the Runaways you'll like this volume. The art is nice and a lot of the questions you've been waiting to find the answers to are finally revealed.
