    New Roy Rogers comic books! Special memorial first issue of this new series commemorating the life and career of The King Of The Cowboys. It features two Roy adventures (reprinted from the now-classic Dell Comics series of the 1950′s), “The Vengance Trail” and “The Land Grubbers”, both illustrated by the great John Buscema. Also, what Roy book could be complete without a Dale Evans story, and this one is titled “The Old Cowboy”, and it’s illustrated by fan favorite Russ Manning. Articles include a filmography of the William Witney Rogers films,Dale Evans’ double life as an actress and a mother, and Cowboy Heaven- a tribute to Gene Autry and Penny Edwards. Lots of interior photos of both Roy and Dale. A heartfelt tribute to the greatest Western star ever by publisher Bill Black. Color photo front cover, black and white photo back and inside covers, interiors are black and white with graytones. Standard comic book format, printed in 1998. Fully licsensed and authorized.
