@The Poet:

That's Flip Flap Flop in his human form. I'll show you a page with him in his monster form (baloney scales and all) soon! :D

@The Poet:

FFF will make history...

...not because of the story itself...but because of the manner in which it will be marketed.

Stay tuned. When all is said and done, it may turn out to be my most noteworthy lettering credit...

...and I'll be expecting you to edit my Wiki in order to accommodate it. :D

@kfhrfdu_89_76k:

I'd like your opinion on something, kfhrfdu_89_76k.

In the original script for that page that I posted, the dog in the second panel is supposed to be barking...but he doesn't look like he's barking to me. He appears to be just staring at FFF. What do you think? Should I put in a couple of little barking noises?

#16 Posted by Omega Ray Jay (7577 posts) - - Show Bio

Interesting stuff

@Roxanne Starr: maybe some noises would help...

O.K.

I'll put them in there in an hour or so...but they are going to have to be rather small noises...because it's a small dog. :-)

Right now I'm waiting on Tony. We are going over to T-Mobile to get me a 4G HotSpot phone. :D

@Roxanne Starr: sounds good.

@The Poet:

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Got real busy.

Will this work? I can't have the barking bigger than that tiny little dog. :(

#21 Posted by Roxanne Starr (9093 posts) - - Show Bio

@Omega Ray Jay:

Flip Flap Flop is a real scumbag when he's in his human disguise. When he turns into a monster, however, he's a lot more fun...with his floppy baloney scales flipping and flapping around.

I see that you didn`t need my opinion for that one. But...I would`ve suggested that you should add those onomatopoeic (I like that word) effects.

HOLD ON, Silk!

We're working on it. After Chris, the artist, and I are done with it...it still has to be colored. :p

I sent Velcro's illegitimate son to South East Asia to watch over Lykopis.

LOVE THE LOGO.

#32 Posted by Roxanne Starr (9093 posts) - - Show Bio

@Silkcuts:

Bob HATES that font (Showcard Gothic)...so that one went onto the scrap heap. Still looking for one that he can live with...sigh.

Got that new 4G Hot Spot service for my smartphone. I guess I'll try connecting to that in a minute and see how good my new mobile connection works.

#33 Posted by Roxanne Starr (9093 posts) - - Show Bio

@Silkcuts:

I haven't come up with the right font yet for that circular logo. And without that, I can't even begin to design the poster:(

But the good news is that I won't have to work at the store between Sunday and next Friday, so I'll have time to cram for DragonCon.

There is a boatload of Bob's fans still out there who don't at this time have a clue about the Kickstarter. And we are hoping that by having a strong presence at the con, we can generate a lot of pledges to create a surge at the end of the campaign and end this puppy with a BANG!

Seeing the big picture

#35 Posted by Roxanne Starr (9093 posts) - - Show Bio

@Silkcuts:

I just got a wall post from Hawkeye! He's been rehearsing for a school musical that has keep him very busy. He said he would be joining the pulp thread again soon. (He didn't even know that the pulps were suspended until after DragonCon.)

Anyway...

Since a small hiccup at the beginning, this new mobile connection of mine is working great!!!

Meanwhile, I'm keeping an eye out for new stuff in Chris' FTP folder on Bob's server Sorry, but only me, Bob and Tony can get in there...and Tony probably won't even bother looking in there until all the artwork and lettering is done and the pages are ready to be colored.

#36 Posted by Silkcuts (5272 posts) - - Show Bio

no more hiccup meqns more Roxy!!!!!

I think that freaky looking bird is a parrot of some sort...but what happened to its feathers is a mystery. Velcro was certainly shocked by the bird's appearance.

One of the things that is making FFF move a little slowly is that (because Chris is the artist, but NOT the creator) he has to wait on Bob every time a new character is introduced...because Bob is making up what all these characters look like as the pages are realized. He didn't give Chris a "Bible" to go by...and Chris is hesitant to visualize them on his own...because HE didn't write the script.

I'm looking forward to seeing your video on Monday! :D

Velcro? Oh your BF. lol I thought you meant the bird got stuck in Velcro(what it looks like lol) Yeah, that bird is definitely odd looking. That poor dog looks scared lol Oh I see, cool. Well, once you're done with that definitely drop by the off topic more, I miss you! lol That bird still creeps me out.

I'll certainly be roaming off-topic BEFORE the project is done. The first issue is a lot longer than 24 pages, so we'll be working on it for awhile.

Actually, all I'll be doing for the next week is getting stuff ready for DragonCon, so I WILL actually have some spare time. :-)

Wow, 24 pages? Damn. I imagine you'll be posting it on here once it's all done? Yes :) Dragon Con, right so many "Con's" I may go to comiccon this year in NYC, because of Injustice lol. And to meet Ed Boon, same people who make the MK games, are making DCU's newest fighter!! Don't know if you've heard of it or not, ironically both are owned by WB.(both MK and DC Comics)

@Silkcuts: @lykopis:

I was very sick the last couple of days with a urinary tract infection, so I haven't been able to be of much help to Bob and Tony. At least I didn't get sick in the middle of DragonCon...so that's a blessing.

#45 Posted by Roxanne Starr (9093 posts) - - Show Bio

Yes, Lyko...I feel much better now, even though the infection isn't gone yet.

A pretty grueling experience. :(

Well, Bob wrote the story, turok, but the artist is Chris Wisnia.

Bob and Tony have their badges now for the New York ComicCom, but they'll be floating around. Bob didn't get a table, but he should be easy to find. :D

Are you going?

Chris Wisnia? I really like his style it looks like Dick Ayers. With Bob writing it will no doubt still be surreal stuff.

Probably won't be able to go sadly, Money is tight here at the moment.

Yeah, those comic book conventions have gotten really expensive. Unless you are at one to MAKE money (either directly or indirectly) these days, they are an extravagance most people can't afford anymore.

Bob and Tony will be there for one reason, and one reason only. But I can't divulge what that reason is. :D

Actually if I told you, you might kick yourself for not going there and looking for those guys. LOL!
