Linda Holland was born Linda Olsen Ridge some time in the late 1940s. She was likely a direct descendant of Damian Ridge and his wife, also named Linda Olsen Ridge. She would later become the wife of Alec Holland, the human template for the Swamp Thing.
Abby is the niece of Anton Arcane, former wife of Matthew Cable (now known as Dream's raven Matthew) and was wife of the Swamp Thing and mother of Tefé Holland. In the new 52, she is the still the niece of Anton, but no longer Swamp Thing's wife.
Arcane uses no weaponry - except his loyal Un-men. His powers are all sorcerous in nature - including raising the dead to some semblance of life. Some claim he is the living embodiment of pure evil.
