Rogue Trooper

Rogue Trooper is a genetically engineered soldier featured in a recurring strip in the science fiction publication 2000AD. His story takes place on a planet called Nu-Earth which has been ravaged by years of civil war and can no longer support human life without the aid of specialized chemical suits and sealed domes. Rogue Trooper was created as one of many infantrymen genetically engineered to thrive on the toxic planet and survive its caustic environment without protection. Genetic Infantryman are characterized by their blue skin, invulnerability all forms of chemical or biological attacks and their enhanced combat skills.

Rogue Trooper and the rest of the Genetic Infantrymen were ambushed when a traitorous general tipped off the opposition to an attack. Only Rogue Trooper survived. He made it his goal to find the traitor and get revenge. Three of his fellow troopers live on in the form of biochips; advanced computer chips that contain the mind of a Genetic Infantryman. Rogue travels with his companions implanted in his helmet, gun and packpack. These comrades are named "Helm", "Gunnar", and "Bagman" respectively. He can communicate with his comrades and they can in turn help by supplying him with equipment or giving him advice.
