The G.I. Joe Rock Slide is an upgraded version of the Polar Battle Bear, with a new composite-armor, upgraded electronics, a more powerful V-6 engine and rotating missile launcher. The entire frame has been reinforced to accommodate for the extra weight of the launcher, but with the upgraded engine and armor there has been a slight increase in speed. While not a very fuel-efficient vehicle, its ability to handle extremely cold environments makes it a reliable and sturdy machine.
The Rockslide weighs 2 tons and has a top speed of 40 MPH and a fully loaded range of 300 miles. It is armed with 2 x .50 caliber machine guns with 650 rounds of ammunition each. There are also two short-range, "fire-and-forget" anti-personnel, heat-seeking missiles and four rotating, launcher fired, short-range, surface-to-surface, "fire-and-forget", high explosive missiles.
