Great, colourful and intriguing issue of a very promising series
First, this book looks great. Amy Reeder makes everything look so bright and clear but also detailed and full of character, befitting both the youthful protagonist and the 80s/Sci-fi worlds. I really dug this issue for a few reasons. One is that the time travel aspect is being used in a very nice way rather than just being handwaved, as we see both DaYoung in her time and 1986. Another is the great two-page spread that made better use of that space than the vast majority of such displays by showing all her heroics since arriving in the past - this is probably one of the best pages I've seen in a long time! Mostly though it's because I enjoy seeing the characters' personalities come through. DaYoung is a very believable teenager - all energy, idealism and flighty. I can't wait to see more of the others as well! Rocket Girl is definitely worth a read.
