Does anyone think the original Robin costume was the coolest?
The original Robin costume was a perfect device. It was built to be a distraction with the bright colors have stocky kevlar reinforced chest guards and the legless shorts were to provide the utmost amount of agility and maneuverability and the pixie boots were better for landings and maneuvering tough acrobatic feats than thick boots. The costume was based off of Dick's Flying Grayson costume. Dick's main purpose was to distract the goons from afar with his bright colors and evade their attacks with his superior agility and speed to even Bruce's while Bruce crept up from the shadows and did the dirty work.
"That suit is reason why people reading the gold/sliver age comics thought batman was gay. "
No, people thought they were gay because someone (the name escapes me) published a book criticizing DC and one of the remarks was that since Batman and Robin were two males, living alone together, unsupervised, meant they must be homosexuals. This, of course it absurd, as Dick was just twelve way back then.
Well, it's not the coolest, but it IS the most iconic, in my opinion.. although I think differently of the costume depending on each Robin.
I guess my fave would be Tim's first costume. Robin just feels lacking without the green. Then his red costume, Then Stephanie, she had a great robin costume (her costume and Dick's in comparison is a great arguement in a "women are objectified in comics" debate. Then the costumes Jason and Dick wore. I dislike Damian, so...
@batman_is_god said:" I like Damian's the most. "Same. The hood is awesome.
Oh If I were a villian and I trap he, the first thing I will do is steal his boots, they are awesome
Damian's is my favorite, but Tim's comes close. Thank God Dick became Nightwing, lol
And thank God he chose a good costume :o = TROUSERS and not underpants out
NO, Tim's second one and Damien's are the best
