Top Cow Pilot Season: Kirkman & Silvestri On 'Murderer #1'
Top Cow has announced the book that will kick off Pilot Season 2009. Pilot Season: Murderer #1 is due to arrive in stores on November 18, 2009. It will be 32 pages of 'moral torment in a character study' from the minds of Robert Kirkman and Marc Silvestri.
Kirkman writes the story of Jason Sparks, a man that is cursed to spend every waking moment bombarded by the thoughts of strangers around him. He is aware of every dirty little secret and hidden desire as they scream out in a cacophony of voices in his head. The only way Jason can stop the voices and the only thing that buys him a moment of respite...is murder.
The art will be handled by up and coming artist Nelson Blake II (The Darkness, Broken Trinity: Witchblade). Pilot Season: Murderer #1 will feature a cover by co-creator Marc Silvestri and colorist Sunny Gho of IFS. It will be priced at $2.99 (as Top Cow continues its promise to stay $2.99 throughout 2009). This will be the first of five new concepts created by Kirkman and Silvestri for Pilot Season 2009. Pilot Season is an annual event in which readers have the power to select the next two Top Cow series based on the one-shot 'pilot' issues.
I wonder what he's going to do with that Sai lol , I always find it hilarious when people fight with this glorified gardening tool, let's just hope they don't turn this Blunt weapon into a Pointy sharp one like everyone else does.
That cover looks like Kenneth Rocafort drew it but there's no mention in the post. Anyone know if he did it?
