The first series to star May "Mayday Parker, the Stunning Spider-Girl! The original series has the destinction of being the longest running superhero comic book with a female lead in Marvel's long publishing history.
With an outpouring support the title was saved from mutliple cancellations by it's legion of fans. The series introduced us to more of Mayday's world as we met up with the myseterious Darkdevil, a new Spider-Man, the redemption of Normie Osborn, and the introduction of the Black Tarantula with his raise to Kingpin of Crime.
The series same to a close with Spider-Girl #100 and the return of the original Hobgoblin and he quickly establishes himself as May's most dangerous and formidable foe.
The series was then relaunched under the title 'The Amazing Spider-Girl'
