Robert Roy MacGregor, (born ??? baptized 7 March 1671 died 28 December 1734)

Also known as Red MacGregor, but most famously as Rob Roy, was a Scottish outlaw / freedom fighter of the early 18th century who became a folk hero known as the Robin Hood of Scotland. He is also one of the first people described as a guerilla fighter.

The Most well-known depiction of him comes in Rob Roy, the popular 1817 novel by Sir Walter Scott, however, although the novel is named for him he  appears only as a secondary character.

Rob Roy has also appeared in a number of films, and in a series published in Thriller Comics (Thriller Picture Library.) in Great Britain.
