Subjected to Alliance experiments, River escapes with the help of her brother, Simon. With an unstable psyche, she now lives on Serenity on the run from the Alliance control.
After learning everything that happened to River in the Academy, I wonder if she can cured, or her brother is deluding himself. What do you think? Can River become normal someday (well, as normal as a mind-reading genius)?
@FadeToBlackBolt: It was referenced pretty heavily in "Ariel" with the brain scans and other such stuff. I believe there may have been mention about how her mind was broken and quite possibly mention of experiments. Although to be fair, the experiments were mentioned throughout the entire series ever since they opened her up from the cryo unit (or whatever it was) in the first episode.
@The Dark Huntress: Yeah, but I never really got that she "remembered" that part of her life. It was more like a nightmare that felt real, hence why it caused her to flip out. Once she remembered it all in Serenity, she was able to reconcile her past. That's what i got anyway.

@FadeToBlackBolt: That actually did happen with another one, ended up being rivertam and I just couldn't stand that lol. But it did happen again with a different account tonight >_< I'll make the new one tomorrow when I'm not as irritated.
Back to the point, i doubt she'll ever be completely normal, mainly because they cut out some pretty important parts of her brain. But she'll be better now that she can remember why she's crazy.
