    This film is a reboot of the famous series, Planet of the Apes. And while a reboot it also could be in the original's universe if you remove the last 2 movies. The movie was directed by Rupert Wyatt with actor Andy Serkis playing the ape, Caesar hero of the story

    This movie also is known for being the greatest special effects film to date.

    Another reboot of a franchise from the Fox company, and another huge success. Granted it is not perfect, and the unwritten ending is when the army goes into the red wood forrest and kills all of the apes, but still, for what it was, it was very entertaining.First of all the FX in this film were awesome, and we got another great performance from Andy Serkis ( KING KONG ) that no one will ever know he did. James Franco managed to show emotion also, so that is a stretch for him.The story is what ca...

    The Planet of the Apes franchise was a surprise hit when it began in the 60s. Surprise because before 2001: A Space Odyssey, science fiction films, in the minds of the general public had more to do with giant monsters than the speculative implications of scientific discovery.
