Final Fantasy X
Rikku first discoveredTiduswhen he was captured by the Al-Bhed. They made him board the Al Bhed ship and forced him to work in order to live. Tidus couldn't understand the Al-bhed language that was spoken to him. But, he realizes that Rikku can speak English as well. Together that fight and work. That's until Sin appears and tips the whole ship over. They get separated.
They won't meet again till further in the story. When Tidus, Auron, Kimahri Ronso,Yuna, and Wakka are riding along the lake. Suddenly Yuna is captured by an Al-Bhed machinaTidus and Wakka jump into the water and defeat the machina machine. Yuna is rescued and they come up on the shore. Tidus finds Rikku washed up on the shore. He tells the others how Rikku rescued him. Yuna asked her to be a guardian. Rikku accepts the offer. They keep it a secret from Wakka because he hates Al-Bhed.
She featured early in Yuna journey as a summoner, and lended her abilities as an expert thief to the group. She is doing well until they travel to the Thunder Plains. She has an extreme fear of lightning after her brother accidentally cast the thunder spell on her as a youth, trying to defeat a fiend.
Final Fantasy X-2
In the second part of Yuna's adventure she has also teamed up with Paine and Yuna to help the Gullwings, an organization finding special video spheres of the past. Though she is originally a thief, she gains different powers via the Garment Grid
