    Current Events

After escaping from the Colony alongside the others, he questioned Fairchild's plan while the others didn't trust him due to his identity as one of the Ravagers that had oppressed them. He was about to fight with Fairchild when a N.O.W.H.E.R.E. security detail showed up. Despite his mistrust and dislike of Fairchild, he helped her to get the others to stop fighting. He escaped on the ice floe alongside Lightning, Thunder, and Fairchild and provided the forward motion that got them to Seattle, Washington. Like many of the others, he's rather terrified of Shadow Walker when Lightning mentions his name, citing him to be scarier than Warblade. He tears off the device on his chest that Shadow Walker is using to track him but is knocked unconscious by Lightning. After recovering, he tears the nodes off of Lightning and she incinerates Shadow Walker.

Traveling toward the safehouse promised by Fairchild, they take time to relax in a stream and Ridge pulls Fairchild into the water before she notes that the marks from their suits are branded onto their skin. He pulls her from the water as Lightning flips out and works together with her to fight the acolytes of Brother Blood. They are overwhelmed and captured as he needs their blood to open a door to the Red. They are released by Terra and battle the acolytes as Beast Boy fights Blood. Lightning sacrifices herself so that they can escape and they head to the promised safehouse, Ridge permitting Thunder to ride on his back.

They met up with Niles Caulder in Los Angeles and were soon joined by Superboy. During Caulder's tour of his base, he took them to a room called the Arena, a place for them to hone their combat skills, which reminded Ridge and his friends of N.O.W.H.E.R.E. They continued to explore on their own until Thunder began to go into a seizure and they observed Caulder and Fairchild operate to save his life. Ridge expressed frustration over the fact that he cared and nearly came to blows with Superboy before they managed to stabilize Thunder, discovering that a kill chip had been installed in his brain. It was also revealed that there were at least 18 Colonies and they dedicated themselves to taking them out.

    Origin

Much of the specifics of Ridge's origins are unknown at this time. His real name is unknown, and while he uses some British colloquialisms, little is known about his early life.

What is known is that he was among the young metahumans captured by the organization N.O.W.H.E.R.E. Experiments performed by N.O.W.H.E.R.E. caused Ridge's monstrous appearance, along with extensive psychological torture. While initially reluctant, he eventually became a member of Harvest's elite soldiers, the Ravagers, led by Rose Wilson. During this time he also met Caitlin Fairchild, who was working as a N.O.W.H.E.R.E. scientist at the time.

    Creation

Ridge first appeared in Legion Lost #8, a comic created by Tom DeFalco and Aaron Kuder.

    The Culling

At the beginning of the Culling, Ridge was still a member of Harvest's Ravagers. He was among the team responsible for kidnapping the time-displaced members of the Legion of Super-Heroes to be taken to the Colony. There, the Legionnaires along with the Teen Titans refused to participate in the Culling as anticipated, instead trying to break free.

Despite initially set on killing the other Titans and Legionnaires, Ridge has a change of heart after hearing a passionate speech from Caitlin Fairchild, He chooses instead to help Fairchild in her mission to free the captives of the Colony, though he disagrees with Fairchild's choice to also free the scientists and security detail of the Colony. Ridge helped give Fairchild time to program several different escape pods to shoot out at different locations from the Colony, scattering Harvest's victims around the world.

Ridge finally escaped, along with Fairchild and several other victims of N.O.W.H.E.R.E., but his escape was followed by the chief officers among Harvest's Ravagers, Rose Wilson and Warblade. Currently the Ridge is attempting to escape the Ravagers attention along with Fairchild, Lightning and Thunder.

    Powers and Abilities

Due to experiments performed on him during his time at the Colony, Ridge has an enhanced (if monstrous) physiology. This provides him several benefits, including:

    • an armored hide which protects him from extreme weather
    • adaptive lungs that allow him to spend long or possibly indefinite amounts of time underwater
    • leaping long bounds across rooftops
    • enhanced strength and stamina
    • a long flexible tail

Ridge was a good enough combatant to be among Harvest's elite Ravagers group, despite being younger than most other members.
