Guess Who?

According to the Post Chronicle, David Tennant has expressed his interest in playing the role of a Batman baddie. Apparently he would love to play the Riddler.

Here is the article from The Post Chronicle;

Doctor Who star David Tennant wants to play a "freakish" villain in his next Tv role. The Scottish actor, 36, admits he loved watching the original Batman series - and would relish the opportunity to torment the Caped Crusader himself.

He says,

"I'd love to play the Riddler and be bad to Batman. It was so much fun to watch. I thought the Riddler was one of the most freakish of the villains, especially with that wild laugh."

It would be a big change from the character of The Doctor but I think David would make an excellent Batman baddie. He was great at being evil in Harry Potter The Goblet Of Fire playing Barty Crouch Junior.

to be honest, i'd love to see David in this role...

i think he's got the look and the 'intelligence' to pull it off, we know he's a damn good actor and he can definitely do manic, so i think he'd be the perfect cast for The Riddler...

also, i love seeing David with the question mark Motif...

that's just genius as it is lol

for those who don't know, The Doctor (Doctor Who, David's current job) normally wears a question mark motif on his clothes lol

Nah, I can't see it. I mean, I'm sure Tenant could play a really smart and funny guy (he does that well enough as The Doctor), I just don't see him doing it in a way that fits the world the films have created. Plus, I'm more interested in seeing villains that haven't already appeared on the big screen. And it doesn't help that I've really never cared for the Riddler.

Well you have to have Joker. He's as integral to Batman as Alfred or Robin.

Not sure what the list was for. Other than Two Face, none of the others have been in the latest movies, which is what I'm talking about and what I thought the thread was for, this set of movies (Begins, Dark Knight, and the possible 3rd), not all Batman movies ever.

you stated you're more interested in seeing characters that haven't appeared on the big screen...

from what i can piece together, that leaves Talia, Cain, Clayface and less than a handfull of others, none really worthy of a title badguy role...

if you're talking about just the Nolan Batverse, which is what i was originally, then all villains are open as long as they can exist in the 'real world', which takes quite a few of them out...

personally i'd love to see Nolan's take on Riddler and Poison Ivy
