This post relates to: Rick Jones, Who would you consider to be the best sidekick?

Sidekick of the Marvel Universe?
Rick Jones, this guy has hung with some of the greatest Marvel Heroes around. He doesn't have anything that really makes him "super" but if you need somebody by your side, this guy is probably there.

Look at the pretty colors.  Is this the new trend?  Change your colors?  Is green no longer in fashion?  Maybe because of all the Skrull business going on.  You'd think Marvel would want to resolve this whole Red Hulk thing before the movie comes out.  (Like they had Spidey in black just in time for Spider-Man 3).  I am liking this series.  It's fun not knowing who this Hulk is.  Doesn't seem like he's going to take crap from anyone.  The series is also full of twists and turns.  First we're lead to believe that Rick Jones is the Red Hulk (even though it looked like he died in WWHulk).  What does Rick do to mess up our theories?  He turns into a friggin' blue Abominiation.  Huh?  I've seen people dead certain that the Red Hulk is Samson.  That doesn't make sense to me.  Wouldn't it be freaky if it was She-Hulk?  Brrrr...

The mysterious new Red Hulk—just who is (s)he?—clashes with the new Abomination, formerly known as Rick Jones but now called A-Bomb, in an explosive confrontation! Hulk #3 continues the chart-topping new series from Eisner-winning, Emmy-nominated scribe Jeph Loeb (Ultimates 3, television’s Heroes) and superstar artist Ed McGuinness, as the fight you’ve been waiting for arrives with a boom! If you haven’t experienced the pulse-pounding thrill ride that has everyone talking, it’s time to jump onboard before this issue sells out as quickly as the first two!

"For those of you who have been wanting more clues about The Red Hulk, this is a must have issue," Loeb enthused, "And it's got a POW ending that will definitely bring you back for more! I am particularly digging the two covers, one by Ed and other by my Ultimatum pal, Dave Finch. It doesn't get better than that!"

With quick sell outs of the first two issues, Marvel urges retailers to check their orders on Hulk, as the series continues to garner mainstream buzz from USA Today to Entertainment Weekly! You can’t afford to miss Hulk #3!

Retailers, please check the Marvel Mailer for instructions on how to order the Iron Man/Hulk one-shot, the perfect introduction to the stars of this summers two biggest blockbuster films!

It's funny how a lot of people are down on the Hulk comics nowadays.  I've been loving the whole World War Hulk comics.  Hulk has been great since he was shot out into space.  It used to be just Hulk gets angry, Hulk smashes.  Yes, he's doing a lot of smashing still but he has a pretty good reason.  It's nice to see him just let out his anger on those that really deserve it.  I can't wait to pick up this issue in a few hours.   For now, here's a bunch of panels to tide you over.

World War Hulk #2 smashes into stores today, as this summer’s biggest comic book epic continues! The Hulk has decimated Black Bolt and Iron Man—so who’s next? Acclaimed writer Greg Park and legendary artist John Romita Jr bring you the Hulk next “fantastic” battle as he clashes with some old allies…and aims to exact some revenge!

Critics are already raving about the second chapter of the hit limited series, with Jesse Schedeen of IGN.Com declaring the issue a “Must Read” and that World War Hulk has, “cemented Greg Pak and John Romita, Jr. as two of the best action storytellers in the business.”

Hulk versus the Fantastic Four! The return of Rick Jones! And more smashing that you can shake Iron Man’s busted armor at! Don’t walk, don’t run—smash your way into comic stores and pick up World War Hulk #2!

I know there's a lot of Hulk love on the boards here.  So you should be excited to see this.  And it's the return of Rick Jones!

Hulk has returned to Earth for “World War Hulk” and now he must deal with his best friend Rick Jones—but where does Rick stand? Is he with the Hulk or has he joined with those who oppose the Green Goliath? These answers and more come in the all new Incredible Hulk #108, which will feature a different story than solicited, allowing for the previous story to now appear in Incredible Hulk #109. No one in the universe knows Hulk better than Rick Jones, who’s stood by the savage beast through the good and the bad, no one except…Miek The Unhived? As Hulk’s oldest friend on Earth meets with Hulk’s first ally on the alien planet Sakaar, fans will get a look into the mind of the one man to not only fight alongside Hulk, but to also suffer with him—Rick Jones!

Written by Greg Pak, the man behind the best selling Planet Hulk, and featuring pencils by fan favorite Leonard Kirk, fresh off Agents Of ATLAS, this clash of worldviews will leave Rick and Miek very different people…if either friend of the Hulk survives! And how does this affect the Hulk? You’ll have to tune into Incredible Hulk #108 to find out!
