After Lori dropped out of her first year in college, she returned to Cynthiana, where they could finally develop their relationship. Soon after Rick and Lori were wed.

Psyche & Group Role
Rick is very much a driven and optimistic individual. Coupled with his law enforcement backgound, he is quickly seen as a prominant leader within the group of survivors he first encounters. Initially Rick is highly ideallistic and mentally strong. this allows others around him feel comforted and safe in his presence. As the months pass and the increasing number of fatalities within his group, we begin to see his character slowly breakdown mentally and emotionally. Despite this apparent deterioration he is still regarded as a rock amongst the other survivors and his son.
