Yeah, it's actually kinda hilarious.

Jameson sets it up on the roof of the police station to call Spidey, at which point Otto comes swinging in, throws a spider bomb into it, destroying it, and says "I passed the test." When Jameson is dumbfounded, Otto explains that only a total idiot would broadcast to all of Spidey's enemies exactly where he is, and Jameson is no idiot, so obviously it's a test and he passed. Nice little middle finger to the ridiculousness that is the Bat-signal.

@skyjumpermike So what that's my opinion. Trolls can't have opinions? Particularly here, I wasn't trolling. Why can't I have this opinion about this book & why it has to be deemed troll worthy by the likes of you?

I kind of doubt it. SpOck first tried to bribe Vulture into stopping, something I doubt he will always be able to do and I don't think Peter would put up with it.

Just throwing this out there, Doc Ock is a better Spider-man ....I love how he sets traps for the villains which really feels more spider-like, then charging in and fighting head on, don't get me wrong I liked Peter Parker, but i feel i was always yelling at the comic, saying no you idiot, kick some #$@# and stop taking crap from everyone, I hate to say it, but its nice to see a Spider-man with a spine...I know people are going to say, well that's not who peter parker is, but at some point there is being a good person, and being a door matt, and Peter has been the later,

I thought this was a decent issue. I'd go with 4 stars, but whatever. I think the Ock character has been an interesting springboard to tell different kinds of stories. It's fun to see what he'd do with Pete's resources and situation. It's really just the same as if Matt Murdock or Steve Rogers took over his body for a while--what would they do as Spider-Man? How would they use his powers and brains differently? The only difference is that Ock has less morals--but as seen here, he still has a certain kind of morality.

I think it's interesting that Marvel was willing to print so many negative letters in the letters column. That was a lot of folks who basically quit over this change. I sympathize with them; I quit reading Spidey for years after the "Gwen had babies with Osborn" thing. But I think this change is actually not so terrible. It doesn't change who Peter is, as a character, at all, and it is obviously temporary.

My problem is really with the art, which I think is kind of annoying. His faces are goofy and his bodies are not persuasive.

You really cant see that emperor Slott has no clothes? Im continually amazed to see just how many people who should know better become apologists for the worst story line in the titles history.  This has been a travesty from the get go.  Just interesting to see how two Spiderman fans can see this mess in such different ways.

Sure, some fans may be disgruntled grumps about the entire thing, but if they're unwilling to come along for the ride and trash-talk, we'll see them later. Only, we all know they'll stick around to complain until things return to the way they like them.

I really don't appreciate such a stupid comment. Just because my opinion differs from yours doesn't allow such childish response to be uttered, How DARE you say that. You, child have got A LOT to learn, stop sky jumping out of planes & go back to hitting the books (not with your head)

I actually liked this one a lot. Way better than the first two at least.
