The Good
Dancer continues to be one fantastic book. Alan searches out for Quinn, which has been taken by a younger, cloned version of himself, who is out to kill Alan. This issue is a long game of cat and mouse, and it gets you pretty anxious as you go through it. Alan tries to stay one step ahead of his younger self, but it seems like it's not enough. He's older and not as clever as his younger counterpart.
Nic Klein's art is my favorite part of this issue. He does an amazing job of setting up the scene in each panel and on each page. The backgrounds look just as amazing as the foregrounds. There's tons of work put into this issue and it shows. Together with Nathan Edmondson's writing, and more importantly, his amazing pacing, Dancer 3 is quite the thriller. There are some great panels of looking through the sniper rifle scope that add so much awesomeness to the scene.
The final few pages reveal something very interesting about where this book is heading and the possible conclusion to the mini-series. The stakes are raised quite a bit, and it's nice to know this is more than just a book about a guy getting back his love. I'm very excited to see how this plays out.
The Bad
While this was a really cool issue, it didn't grab me as much as the last two issues. Still awesome overall though. Most of the issue just deals with this one longer scene of Alan trying to get back Quinn. It's almost like this issue takes place in real time.
The Verdict
Once again, this was a phenomenal issue of Dancer. Once again, Edmundson and Klein put out an amazing issue filled with a wonderful story and a book that flows naturally from start to finish. This is a book you need to read and it's another perfect edition to Image's growing title of books and mini-series.
Overall, I highly recommend this book and series.
