durakken's Resurrection Man #2 - And Gone review

    Speed Bump

    The first 5 pages of this book is slow and ruins some of the mystery of Suriel unnecessarily, but once you get past that the story flows nicely and all of the characters are intriguing as well as funny. We are left with several questions like who do the body doubles work for and is old guy really a former super villain (especially with this reboot). And the end of the book left us with a good mystery of why did this occur.

    So, not as good as #1, but pretty good still.

      With the possibility of this series going either up or down after the last issue, it seems to be heading down with this issue.  The series seems to be taking a more serious and spiritual look at death and life through the eyes of the main character and that works for a lot of this story, even the parts where he is talking with the old man with Alzheimers.  Casting the Body Doubles as the villains here though certainly detracts away from the tone of the book.  In the previous issue I was a little...

      Review for Resurrection Man #2.The Story: Mitch gets to Portland and is informed that his father is dead. Also the Body Doubles find him and Mitch dies again but something different happens when he wakes up.The Good: It's an interesting idea to set the majority of the issue in a retirement. It's a place where people go to stay until they die but Mitch can't die and he seems out of place there.
