An android created by the supervillian T.O. Morrow to infiltrate the Justice Society of America. The android has since become a noble superhero and member of the Justice League.
Absolutely. Think how the movies keep totally retelling stories of the DC characters we know and love. While I enjoy watching all superhero movies (I literally just walked out of an early screening of the Justice League), I know that there is so much potential for a character without expectations. Red Tornado is an open-end character. He’s never really had a consistent origin story, nor a consistent novel or line of books. A shallow, remotely unknown, yet totally fucking awesome character has the potential to really hit it with the audience. Think about Guardians of the Galaxy.. The movie(s) are wayyy more popular with Joe Schmoe than comic lovers (as in they’re really resonating with a larger base of people). They solidified a storyline and retold character backgrounds without sacrificing a base of fans who wanted to see the story told in a specific way. The rewrite of Red Tornado in 2009 I think it was, delves more into his background and brothers/sister (also his alias). A really cool and more complex storyline to build off of. It would be unexpected yet totally dope to see this clunky yet elemental character come to life on the silver screen. I love DC and I love complex characters like Aquaman and the Blue Beetle, but if you ask me... some unexpected greatness would be brilliant in so many ways.
