"She just took pity on you for the pixie boots."
Tim Drake/Wayne re-associates himself with the Batman Family while he settles into his new role in the "Family" Company. He starts a "Hit-List" and a plan of action for his time in Gotham now. With it becoming more of a known fact that Bruce is lost in time, Tim joins The Dynamic Duo on patrol. While out on patrol he runs into a conflict with a gang leader whom he associated with a few months prior in his time as Robin. Tim Drake has a plan, but no one knows what it is just yet.
What You Need To Know.
Tim Drake/Wayne has returned to Gotham. He was beaten physically by Ra's Al Ghul in hand to hand combat, but saved the Batman Family. Tam Fox, in order to protect Tim's secret identity, tells Vicki Vale they are engaged. The Good.
Fabian Nicieza joins the series and steps into his role rather flawlessly. While you can tell this isn't Chris Yost, it seems like a natural transition and change of pace. The story honors the past year worth of stories, while clearly transitioning into a whole new one, which is a welcome change. Tim's internal Monologue is well-written and his actions are warranted. The interactions between Tim and the other characters is something that was missing in the first set of the series, now that he's back in Gotham, his supporting cast will probably become more defined, with appearances by Damian, Alfred and Dick (Bruce too, once he returns). The interaction between the three "Brothers" was something that was definitely missed in the first 12 issues.
Marcos To's artwork has improved throughout his run on this series, much better than the original artist. There were some scenes where the art could have been a lot better, but when he is on his game drawing he's pretty amazing. I was a fan of the cover, it's associated with the story.
