The new Red Lanterns run is so good

@bigl: I will flay you alive. That title is the most utterly worthless piece of garbage in existence and it has been since #13 and it's only getting worse. The character assassination is getting so psychotically brutal I want to rip my hair out. Now they're at the point of just outright ignoring everything that has ever made sense to do whatever they want.

I really miss Peter Milligan.

I thought the first arc was pretty terrible. It seemed like every other panel was Atrocitus slapping Bleez around or abusing her.

Really? Every single issue before Soule's run was complete garbage. Every single issue was just Atrocitus ruminating on how terribly angry he is. And then puking acid on everything.

Soule's run is forgettable too, and I'm starting to think it's just the nature of the Red Lanterns to be lousy characters for an ongoing.

@jake_fury: Oh also she is offered leadership of the corps (remember, that she wanted soooo bad?) And she's like "nah I'm cool, you want it Rankorr?" And then when Atros comes back she's all "oh you know I only live to serve my lord". Whatever sick twisted male power fantasy is being played out in those hellish pages is nauseating to me.

@citizenbane: Well considering that Emerald Warriors was excellent and had Bleez as a main character, plus several appearances by Atrocitus, maybe it's just the ass writets the title keeps getting.

I never liked the book to begin with. IMO they should never have gotten a book.

That's why I am not reading Red Lanterns currently.The book just became total garbage.At least in the beginning is a little enjoyable and good but that's gone.

@joygirl: Bleez's origin was about the only highlight for me. Did you like her over in New Guardians?

@jake_fury: She was fantastic in New Guardians. My favorite appearance for her was in Emerald Warriors though.

@joygirl: I hope things turn around for this series and you get some satisfaction.

I don't think I'd read DC or Marvel for female characters tbh (outside of maybe certain X-Men runs).

I've just come back from spending a lot of time with 2000AD an honestly where it comes to the women its kind of weird seeing the stark contrast between the two.

Dunno what Valiant, Dark Horse etc are like.

WOW. It's a good thing I dropped it at issue 0. I couldn't take it anymore. It was and apparently still is a bad series.

Joy pretty much summarized my feelings aswell, this is garbage. I think the entire Red Lanterns run would of been better without human characters, those are the ones who seem to mess everything up (atleast in the N52 run) because for some reason humans always -have- to be the best at everything.

I was almost that mad with what was done to my fav character hal during first justice league arc....turned him into complete jackass, like a opposite of his personality johns writes in his solo series. And I dont get this, why does the red lantern corps have a book while sinestro doesn't???? I mean I'd love to see a johns written sinestro/hal team-up book or just a sinestro corps sereis. I mean Sinestro is such an awesome and deep character he needs a solo series.....whew sorry went on a bit of a rant there lol

@joygirl: The book is not that bad. The one thing I agree with you on is the Guy beating Atrocitus (I was going to start a topic about that when I found this one) that fight was BS Guy should not have won at all let alone in the short time it took I am still mad about that.

The Reds need better writers that's all
