    First cult is the deepest

The concept of Realworlds was definitely an interesting one and while not exactly something which would appeal to mainstream comic fans, it was none the less thought provoking.  The concept basically works that a real world person has some association to a comic book character and this changes their lives.  This story focuses on Brenda Kelly, a star of Wonder Woman serials in the late 1940s.  The story is introduced with her fighting crminals alongside a female Soviet superspy.  This foreshadows the problems she is about to face as a Red Scare starts to spread across Hollywood.  This affects her personal and professional life, and also affect the labour and political culture in the Los Angeles area.  Events roughly mirror the events of McCarthyism where there are outcasts and pariahs, and witchhunts and forced confessions of communist associations.  In itself this story is somewhat strong but the climax with Brenda Kelly takes the words of Wonder Woman at more than somthing which she says for her job but is actually motivated by them.  This is not an average comic book, but for the fan willing to dig deeper there is something of great value here.
