In The Habit...
The 90`s saw publishers like Avatar Press and London Night churning out several bad-girl heroines. One of the most popular was Razor - who looked like some cross between Psylocke and X-23, fighting demons on the grimy streets of Queen City. Often paired up with some other femme fatale, this issue saw her battling alongside (and with) Areala...
Areala, I like this character. She`s a Warrior Nun, in leather corset and a habit with a thigh-high split, armed with a broadsword and some techno/occult weaponry to "kick ass for the Lord!". Yeah, I know this has shades of nunsploitation (God forbid!) but she is kinda cool in a warrior-nun-sort-of-way...It`s a fetish-thing, I guess.
Another demon has arrived in Queen City, calls himself Dark Dweller and wants to `mate` with Razor, and...oh, yes he wants to mate with Areala also. He pits them against each other, no doubt deciding to mate with the leftovers...
The whole story is a little silly really, but is entertaining enough. The ending is open for a sequel, but after fourteen years non has emerged - has it?
The art is so-so, the Areala parts are better than some of the Razor panels. But it`s vibrantly coloured throughout...
