LOVE Raven but not a fan at all of Phantom Stranger...
Raven
Character » Raven appears in 1730 issues.
Raven battles the forces of evil alongside her adoptive family, the Teen Titans while trying to control her baser, antagonistic instincts she inherited from her demonic father, Trigon.
Raven Returns in the New 52
Everyone, should read the article. In it Lobdell says that the possible spin off would happen after issue 25 of the current Tenn Titans book, which is about a year off from now,
Hopefully she'll show up in a book on a regular basis before that.
I was excited at first because Raven leading a team? That's the first but then when I saw Lobdell's name, I started to panic. I'm scared because I do not want my favorite character being ruin by him, but I will give him a point for doing the unthinkable that nobody in DC was ever brave enough to do.
However, it's even more scarier that Raven also might be written by Didio in Phantom Stranger.
I will give Lobdell a chance, I will read this spinoff. I'm hoping that he actually does good for once. And most of all, I love Raven so damn much that I would basically read anything that she's involve in, even if the story turns out extremely terrible and I know some but I still kept reading it; it's also still in my closet and I still don't know why I kept it.
Anyways...
But really, is this the "big plan" we all been waiting for? Because this doesn't really sound big to me, I was expecting Raven to show up in a big storyline.
I still wish Raven show up in JL Dark instead.
Not sure if i am going to pick phantom stranger up like the look of the artwork on this preview page what do you guys think ?
Anyone read #0 ... is the storyline worth the read.
I was excited for a split second. Then I saw Lobdell's name. Can we please all agree that we're tired of him? Why aren't we hearing more about other writers and artists? Every week we have to get pissed at Lobdell about something else. It's exhausting. Honestly I don't think he's a good or bad enough writer to have that strong of an opinion about his work itself as writing, but I do hate what he's done to Tim Drake and the Titans in general really.
Another minus one for the New 52.

Exactly, I agree with you. I am always piss off with him, I don't like what he's doing.
He already messed up Tim and Starfire, I won't be surprise if he does the same to Raven, who is my all-time favorite character and I do not want to see that.
I keep hearing his name every week. I'm getting tired of it, let the other writers have the attention or something.
I'd rather see her in a book written by Scott Snyder, Jeff Lemire, Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison (Even though he's not gonna do superhero comics anymore), or Kyle Higgins.
Also someone needs to write a book with Grayson leading a team again. I think having Raven part of that team would be a really good idea. Also add Huntress, Donna Troy, Cassandra Cain, and Beast Boy. Give them different objectives than the Justice League.
Sorry for going into a zone there, I don't want to see Raven character destroyed by bad writing. I really don't like how Wonder Girl is being portrayed already.
Right on! Welcome back Raven, even if it will take another ongoing to do it...and more $$$ to be pumped out of my pockets :/
I expected as much from the end of last month's issue, but this news still makes me really happy. Raven's one of my favorite characters.

God, I hope the Titans are coming back.
Team could be Raven, Nightwing, Starfire, Arsenal, Tempest (good excuse to bring him back), Jericho, Beast Boy (Don't know what he's doing in N52 currently, but he could be there).
Hell, it'd be a good time to reunite Dick and Starfire.
I really hope this happens.

Raven is too big for a spin-off or a team. She needs her own ongoing series.
Hear! hear!
Dammit. Why the hell is Scott Lobdell writing this?!? He is terrible at writing Teen Titans, so yeah it totally makes sense to give him a spin-off Teen Titans book. Man, the whole young justice line of books have been screwed up since day 1.
OK,I have known about the strip for about two weeks now,and I discovered about the spin-off yesterday.First of all,who said it had to be Lobdell to write it, just because it was his idea? But more related to the Phantom Stranger, WHY THE HELL DID THEY POSTPONE IT??????I could hardly wait until tomorrow for it,and now I'll have to wait a whole week.Goddammit...

Yes! I totally agree!
Speaking of Teen Titans, whatever happened to Beast Boy? And since Garth is dead, is Black Manta's son Jackson the new Tempest, or does he have a different name (please tell me he's not going by Aqualad)?
@Prim3tim33: I read #0 and was disappointed. The story just wasn't there. I was hoping for some sort of big reveal, but there just wasn't one.
I know I'll read it.
Lobdell has wanted Raven since the start of the New 52, from what I heard he wanted Raven in the Outlaws and had Starfire forced on him by DC so I can only imagine he has big plans for her. Given how oddly specific he is about the spinoff taking place after issue 25 I can only assume she's going to be in the Titans comic before that. Maybe in a storyline involving Skitter, she was stated as being sort of demonic host after all, seems appropriate to introduce Raven to the team at that point.
I personally have been enjoying Lobdell's work, besides his Tim Drake controversy he seemed to be well received on Superboy and after the initial problem with RHATO number 1 that series has really come along fantastically. DC was the one who took down the original Titans guys not Lobdell, the early issues of Titans were good crossing over with Superboy, besides his new take on Tim (which I liked but have come to see the other sides opinion) Titans has been a pretty entertaining team book.
@DarkShadows: You know, I read Ravagers #1, and totally forgot that that was Beast Boy. Who decided to change him that much? Ugh.

WOWOWOWOWOW.......I checked it out...Awesome artwork as far as the powers are concerned.I'm a little disappointed that The Phantom Stranger had to sacrifice a child in order to find Raven.I'm hoping those shadows are the manifestation of her own Soul-Self,while she's not able to control her emotions. What I hope is, that all that is set in the past(ut obviously is,cause Raven appeared in her costume at Teen Titans 1),and Raven just walked on Earth, having fled from Azarath, and cannot stand all those emotions. Now, as for the powers,it could be that the Phantom Stranger is either tapping to her own untapped powers and using them against her,or uses a representation of her powers. That has to be the only explanation, since we're not used to the Phantom Stranger using this kind of power. And,I'm surprised it turned out to be that awesome, since I had heard that Didio sucked, but I saw that he actually turned out pretty good. So,what do you all think?
Well,I like the Phantom Stranger anyway, but the main reason I'm bying it and cannot wait is Raven....
So,guys, we got any news?Any new pages?I can hardly wait until tomorrow!!Please post spoilers,if and when you have any!

If she has no connection to Beast Boy. I'll be p!$$ed!!!
No offense, but if you're talking about "connection" as in romantically, well... lefts leave them like that. Not a fan of the BBRae pairing and especially since Terra is back (and is apparently the good guy) it's likely that the writers might pair Gar with Terra.
But in general, I really don't think Raven has any connection to Gar or any of the past Titans. If I made a mistake or something about this, please tell me the right answer, people. Because I haven't been to the comic store in a month.
As of now, all we can do is wait and see.
Answers shall come.
I know I'm late on the comment game, but what if this spin off is like a Justice League Dark, but Teens, that would be sort of cool. Actually scratch that, i still want Raven in Red Hood and the Outlaws, so Roy Harper, and Dick Grayson get to be adults, but Raven is still a teen? I guess maybe due to her "nature" she could age slowly.
@molotovzav: I am kinda hoping for the opposite effect that where ever it is Trigons been keeping her, time moves faster so she arrives as being older than the other Teen Titans, since she appears to be their age already in the PS issue. That, or the PS issue happened years before Tim's Teen Titans (TTT?) was formed. (I'm not a fan of freezing her age to that of the YJ generation...thank you Geoff Johns :S )
