Origin

Raven grew up in a family of witches, in the coven of the Black Rose. When she grew of age, she was to take on a new "magickal name". Raven chose to keep her birth name, but added the Hex to it! When younger, she was insecure about her body and resentful of the leers and wolf whistles she attracted, but her attitude eventually changed to "I've got it, I'll flaunt it".

One day in school, Raven and her sister Rowan (who took the magickal name Tarot) were being bullied and harassed by the other kids in school. One of the taunting kids threw a rock which hit Rowan in the head. Raven was so angry that she used some magic to cause a tree limb to fall on the kids, breaking the arm of the one that threw the rock at her sister, and injuring the other kids.

Raven and Rowan were suspended from school, and this enraged their father. He used his magic to burn down the school, and when the townspeople tried to do the same to Raven's home, her father used the Forbidden Book Of Shadows to conjure up forest demons to fight the townspeople back.

Employing the Use of Necro Magick

But the magic that her father used ended up consuming him and he died as a result. Raven was hit very hard by the death of her father, and blamed his death on the townspeople. She vowed to avenge him.

Following the death of her father, Raven chose the dark path and began studying Necro-Magick. Raven defied all the warnings of her mother that this Necro-Magick would upset the natural balance, and she was banished from the Black Rose coven.

Raven, no longer a "Witch Of The Black Rose", continued to study and practice the dark Necro-Magick. She started experimenting with the "Cup Of Shadows". After drinking from the cup, the liquid spilled all over her body, and seeing the patterns that formed on her, she liked what she saw! Raven conjured up a dark demon-like creature and had the creature change her appearance by giving herself her distinctive tattooed eyes, and wraparound markings. She stole the Forbidden Book Of Shadows, in an attempt to use it to bring back her beloved father.

Raven Hex is not an evil witch, just a severely misguided one. The loss of her father, and the way in which her kind are treated has pushed her over the edge.

Witch War

Raven Hex having stolen the forbidden book of dark spells intends to use it to bring her dream to fruition. She hates mankind for the way they have treated witches and will finally get her revenge. She plans to use the spells to bring about a time of terror for mankind and prosperity for all followers of the craft.

In an unknown location, Pierce and Kreskin try to regain their composure and figure out where the ghouls have taken them.

Promising never to smash pumpkins again and then asking "Where the Hell are we?" the two hear a deadly and seductive voice.

"Hell doesn't exist boys...but I do and...I'm much hotter." Raven says as she emerges from the shadows. Pierce and Kreskin are transfixed by this witch and find themselves unable to take their eyes off her.

Raven introduces herself to them and when they ask if they can go, believing their offense to be smashing pumpkins she delivers a swift kick to Pierce's face.

She tells the two that there only purpose is to serve her and she has a small task for them...she concludes by telling them they better not fail her. And though they did fail, her ghouls succeeded in fetching her the coffin she desired.

As Raven opens the coffin holding the body of The Twins she tells them that soon shall come the greatest moment of witchkind and they will play an important part. As soon she shall bring her father back from the dead and so begin a new age of witches.

She speaks gleefully as she holds the corpse close to her. "Can you just feel the excitement coursing through my flesh! It swells with stimulation! I never thought I could feel so alive with something so dead."
