One of the Demons Three. Along with Abnegazar and Ghast, Rath used his magical powers to spread evil across the earth.
A billion years ago, the 3 demons, Abnegazar, Rath and Ghast ruled the earth through their magical powers. When their evil deeds were discovered by the timeless ones, the latter group sentenced the demons to eternal imprisonment beneath the earth.
Felix Faust discovered the ancient incantation that would free the demons, and then he joined them in battle with the Justice League.
