Origin
Raphael Suarez was an electrical engineering student at Empire State University who acquired an internship at a local hospital. After Lyja, the Human Torch's Skrull girlfriend gave birth at the hospital, Raphael overheard the doctors who'd delivered Lyja's egg talking about a technological implant they'd pulled from her. Telling them about his electrical engineering education, Raphael was allowed to study the implant. When he noticed a button on the device, he did as any ignorant but curious person would do. He pressed it. The implant then wound up accidentally giving him the powers of the Laserfist.
Powers & Abilities
After receiving the powers of the Laserfist, Raphael Suarez was able to shoot extremely powerful energy blasts out of his hands, just like Lyja had been able to do when the power was hers.
