    Nor our allies

I guess my understanding of DC history is not what I thought it was, I thought that this was a self contained miniseries and not one which spilled over into the pages of Infinite Crisis.  There is no matter anyway, the second half of this issue basically acts as the lead-in for Infinite Crisis while the first part of the book details the defeat of Onimar Synn.  In that the war doesn't end here per se, I can not really hold against this issue because publication decisions usually trump those of creators, but what there is here which is organic to this series is quite well handled and also quite memorable.  It is not so much any big moments but a lot of small ones - Tigorr claiming he is a fighter not a thinker, the Hawks willing to lay their lives on the lines, Alanna reminding people she is an adept fighter as well.  These moments all combine together for a thrilling end to this story arc, even as a new one os underway.
