Ragdoll Costume
Alright. So i have almost completed my costume. heres a picture. I'll take more after I am 100% done with it.
Alright so for the legs, I just got black/white checkered tights, and then black cycle shorts to go over it. For the shirt, i ordered a black/white checkered shirt (i could not find a checkered shirt from anywhere except a british website. i looked EVERYWHERE.), cut the sleeves off, and then sewed on some black/yellow tights. I then got some red cotton material and cut it to make it look "raggedy" and sewed it onto where the tights and shirt meet. Then i cut off the collar and cut a jagged pattern. I then got more red material, cut it pretty wide, and then wrapped it around my waste for the sash/cumberbund. For the mask i got a white full face mask then used some of the fluorescent yellow material that i had leftover from the black/yellow tights, superglued the pieces to cover the eyes, and then cut off the excess. The wig was crocheted out of white yarn, then the red yarn was pulled through. (It took like 650 yards of yarn to cover the crocheted hat btw. lol) I also added an elastic band around the edge so it would stay on my head. I decided not to glue the mask onto the wig. then for the gloves i just got some white cotton gloves.
The only thing i have left now is to sew on two yellow diamond patterns onto the shirt. Then my costume is done!!!! :D
Alright everyone, i finished my costume on saturday and went to a costume contest at a local comic book store and ranked second place! :D My two friends who went with placed first and third. Robin- First and Catman-third
