I've never really understood why Quicksilver was so easily accepted into the Avengers after being part of a mutant terrorist organization. Most incarnations of Quicksilver seem like unrepentant mutant supremacists but I never read the old-school Avengers and X-Men, which is when this originally happened. Did he get grief for being in the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants by people like Cap? Was he just really inconsistent as a character and it was typical Silver-Bronze Age smiley-face team-up? The only version that seemed like it made any sense was Ultimates, where the Avengers were pretty dark to begin with and worst you could say about Quicksilver was that he was creepy eurotrash.
