Wendell Vaughn a.k.a Quasar was a low level S.H.I.E.L.D agent when he first encountered the Quantum Bands that Captain Marvel once wore. The SHIELD scientists were experimenting on the bands. Another SHIELD agent names Wesley was using the bands and was unable to control the power they possessed and exploded in front of everyone in the lab. Right after this explosion one of the scientists who was a traitor to the A.I.M organization signaled the AIM terrorist cell to attack and steal the bracelets. Wendell decided to use the bands to protect his father and SHIELD. Once he put on the bands he defeated the entire AIM terrorist cell which consisted of about 50 robots. Nick Fury immediately gave him a job as founder of the SHIELD Super-Agents. Quasar along with his cosmic powered Quatum Bands became Protector of the Universe and has sense then battled the cosmic threats to our galaxy.

Annihilus is an insectoid being from the Negative Zone. He is a nihilist and a constant threat to life anywhere. He is a longtime foe of the Fantastic Four.

Deathbird was born to the ruling house of the Shi'ar Imperium. Her name and title was stripped from her when it was prophesized that she was destined for evil. She was exiled after she brutally murdered her mother and unamed sister. During her exile she aligned herself with Modak. She has battled heroes such as the Avengers and Ms Marvel. Quasar has had to defend the Earth from Deathbird's threats once she gained control of the Shi'ar Empire.

Galactus is the famed "devourer of planets" in the Marvel Universe. His powers are nearly omnipotent. He has appointed a number of entities as his heralds, imbuing them with the Power Cosmic.

Living Laser started off as using technology to transform lasers into weapons that bonded to his body causing him to have uncontrollable powers. The living Laser is a very powerful being who can now manipulate his body as a living laser!

Maelstrom is a very powerful foe of Quasar. He can manipulate vast amounts of energy,he can use his power to absorb the force and energy of attacks, he can fire very destructive bolts of plasma, and form protective fields. Maelstrom is also a master of kinetic energy, he can use it to augment his arleady impressive power. He can also change his size at will. Maelstrom is a genius of unlimited knowledge.

Dr Thomas Lightner, a mad scientist, was mutated into 3 different beings. Thomas turnned from Blacksun into Nth Man and at last to Mysterium. Dr Thomas Lightner also threatened several beings.

Phobius is one of Maelstrom's Minions. He acts as and interrogator for [[Maelstrom:char:2493]].

Quantum is an alien soldier attached to the platoon of superpowered Dakkamite troops known as "The Elect". When exposed to the radiation of a yellow sun the Dakkamite received renegade superpowers. To manifest their powers the Dakkamite hibernated in specailly designed incubator capsules located close to the sun. While Quantum was searching for his comrades he battled Quasar. Quasar used his powers to trap Quantum into a trio of intangible duplicates.

Ronan is a member of the alien race known as the Kree. He is also part of the "Supreme Accuser of the Kree Empire". He was oblivious of Earths existence until one of his robotic servants known as the Sentry, was defeated by the Fantastic Four. Ronan traveled to Earth to pass judgement on the heroes for their arrogance. A battle ensued and Ronan was defeated by the Fantastic Four. Because of his defeat, this brought interest of Earth to the Kree.

A lethal creation by a dying race to get their revenge on the Celestials

Thanos was born on a moon orbiting Saturn called Titan. Thanos was born a Eternals' but has a gene in his genetic code that give him the appearance of a Deviant. The Deviants is a cousin race to the eternals. Growing up Thanos is mindful of his appearance and becomes distant. Although his fellow Eternals treated him no different, his bitterness of being different drove him insane. Thanos became fascinated with nihilism and embarked on a quest to "please" death. Thanos became an expert in the use of bionics and mysticism and augments his abilities making him the most powerful of the Eternals. He later conducted a nuclear bombardment of Titan that kills millions of his race. His mother was thought to have died in the attack, but she survived and was later kidnapped and dissected by Thanos. Thanos later traveled to Earth and built a base with a universal translator so he could communicate with his alien mercenaries. Earths heroes found the base and destroyed it. The Avengers along with Captain Marvel battle his minions and destroy them. Thanos ends up retrieving the cosmic cube and murders a large percentage of the Universe. He ended up discarding the cosmic cube when he thought it was drained of all power. Captain Marvel actually destroyed the cube which undone everything that Thanos had achieved. Thanos was eventually defeated by Earths heroes and returned to deep space. Thanos remains a power cosmic being, and a threat to our galaxy. His never ending passion to death will exist as long as he has power.
