After a major war, earth is left in shambles. Waring corporations now take the place of governments. A few groups still exist fighting for a "free land", one of these is known as Q-Unit. Made up of cybernetic humans and mutants of the fall out, they battle AlphaCorp. This first issue mostly sets up characters, Thomas Deathchild (the leader, thrust into a position he doesn't want to be in) and his sorceress girlfriend Havenight have to deal with their love interfering with her training to become the Mother Sorceress. Blackstorm (the vampire) still craves blood, but knows he must fight what's in him. And one hilariously written scene where Killdead tries to explain to Warblood exactly what is gun is, like how it works and everything. Its too bad this book didn't make it. The Layered Reality Cybercard was a KILLER idea.
