    Purifiers

    Team » Purifiers appears in 329 issues.

    The Purifiers are a terrorist group engaged in a holy war against mutant-kind. Their aim is the eradication of mutants everywhere. They have deceived people who believe that it is God's will to exterminate mutants.

    How are they not tried for crimes against humanity?

    Because seriously the Purifiers have been able to get away from any persecution whatsoever despite commiting being one of the most vicious, brutal and monstruous organizations in the Marvel Universe. They have been able to get away with blowing a bus full of children, slaughtering several students (who are also children) in the X-Mansion a la Virginia Tech and finally "culling" every child in the city in order to make sure the Hope Summers did not survive. Also doing a broadcast that provokes a mass-suicide in 3,000 people. All of this because they believe themselves righteous and mutants to be the children of the Devil and thus worthy of extermination. Somehow this bull*** excuse gives them right to kill children but that is not really the point. What most disturbs me about it is that the government or the public opinion don't give a s*** about stopping this basically a terrorist group who murdered several innocents in name of their fanatical belief. Even though they didn't just killed mutants, but other humans too. It looks like the X-Men are the only ones in a hurry to stop them. Am I supposed to believe mankind is prejudiced to the point they allow these savages to run around just because mutants deserve to be exterminated? Last time I checked this is the Marvel Universe, not 2000 A.D. or Warhammer 40.000. Why they haven't got any punishment yet?

    @TheCrowbar: Their ability to evade justice strain plausibility to the point of absurd. They caused the deaths of humans too. Even if some assholes agreed that mutants need to be destroyed, isn't that price too hard to pay?

    If that is true, then they deserve to be subjugated and tortured by the mutants. Screw "Magneto was right"; even "Apocalypse was f***** right!!!"

    Because Marvel is determined to create a group of villains so powerful and unlikable that when they finally meet their doom, all of their fanboys will be enraptured and worship whichever writer helps facilitate their demise.

    The X-Men kill them every fifteen seconds. And since they started to attack all superhumans due to Fear Itself, hopefully they become a threat in Uncanny Avengers.

    religion, look at the Pope, some Islamic governments and Westboro. They allow the mass rape of children, mindless destruction and the westboro crowd is just disgusting. It seems a lot of the X-Men's problems would go away if they would just make Nitro explode in every church, synagogue and mosque in the world.

    @krspaceT:

    ......wow.....just,wow.

    and the westboro crowd is just disgusting

    This is the only part I can say that I agree with...the rest is just....

    and when you said this:

    and the westboro crowd is just disgusting

    I decided to give up on society...namely a specific group
