If nothing else he's not a Frankenstein

After hearing some of Rucka's plans for Frank I'm intrigued. The 616 Punisher hasn't interested me in years and I've been reading Aaron's Max faithfully. I think it's the best Punisher since Ennis', which I consider THE definitive Punisher. It'll be a $2.99 book after it's first issue and the amazing first issue of Daredevil has me rethinking this whole Big Shot's line. But at the end of the day do I (or you) really need two Punisher books?

Yeah, I may just add it to my pull list and hold the issue until I get some trusted feedback just in case it sells out.

Another hell yes from me. I'm a Greg Rucka fan, and while I loved Garth Ennis' MAX Punisher book, I've been aching for years to see a decent Punisher title actually set in the Marvel Universe. I'll be all over this new book.

Greg Rucka writing the Punisher is bound to be awesome. Rucka handles street level characters real well. I'm interested to see what he does with the Punisher. That cover is awesome too

This is true. Frank not speaking or having internal dialogue for the first 3 issues really has me intrigued.

@JonesDeini: After looking at the interior artwork, I'm even more excited for this series. I wasn't a big fan of the Punisher War Journal series. I haven't started PunisherMAX yet but I hear it's pretty good. Basically I'm looking forward to reading a good Punisher series. Only Punisher comic that I really loved was Welcome Back, Frank by Garth Ennis

I used to take that approach to, but that really hurts titles that aren't flagships. The big two only care about month to month sales so if I want to keep things like Secret Warriors, S.H.I.E.L.D., or Black Panther: Man Without Fear afloat floppies are the way to go. Definitely dig the convenience in trades though.

Good to know, I may have to pick this up. Aaron says his Max run won't be ending anytime soon. But just in case it never hurts to have options. Always keep a ram in the bush.

No, they lost me during the horror that was Shadowland and I haven't been back to marvel since. I like my DD dark and gritty heard this new run was more happy go lucky so I never picked it up.

Yeah, Shadowland lost me as well, but Waid has won me back over full force! It is more lighthearted in the sense that I'm not wondering why Matt's not slitting his wrists in between panels. But it's a great read and the pathos is and definitely will remain at the core of the character. I really recommend checking it out, folk. SUPERB book, excellent read, can't compliment it enough. I'm a Frank Miller's DD fan, but I'm definitely gonna give this latest run a shot.
