Is Marvel really going to kill off the Punisher (again)?  Who was reading Punisher when he became that crazy demon version with a shotgun that shot out hellfire or something?  I will admit that even that was too much for me.  I can (proudly?) say that I did not read a single Zombie-Frank issue.  Can anyone tell me if they were any good?  Regardless, Frank is going to be facing some hard times once again.  As you may have heard, Frank goes toe-to-toe with Daken and doesn't come out smelling too sweet.  Daken is not Wolverine.  Where as Wolverine would most likely hold back, Daken won't.  So it's chop-chop, goodbye Frank, hello FrankenCastle.  (I really hope no one actually refers to him as that).

Man I sure am glad I dropped the Punisher titles when they started over. This just seems way to much even for Frank.

Weird. That's really all I got. Because when they announced Frank's return to the mainstream MU, this was the last thing I could've expected. Wow...
 
The thing is, and you know it'll happen...How does it get reversed? Are they going to pull a swerve, since we really haven't seen his head/face yet and it's not really him? Clone body? Hood's magic? 
 
Oh, and G-Man...that old "Angel Punisher" series was pretty notoriously terrible. I haven't read it personally, but from all reviews, it sounds like they really tried turning Frank into Spawn, who of course was still really popular at the time. Naturally, it failed miserably...

I'm actually looking forward to seeing how Daken hacks up Punisher, how he survives and who's the person who patch works him together?

Marvel really is the house of ideas. Bad ideas of course (One More Day, New Exiles, Ultimatium, Ect...) but ideas none the less.

Ugh...and I really enjoyed this  series too.  I liked how Frank was adjusting his game to fight the bigger villains of the marvel-u by turning their tech against them.  This is crap and I'm avoiding it if it truly is Frank hacked up and joining the supernatural characters of Marvel like they say.  I don't want to see that, I don't want to see him degraded and go out in a needlessly horrific end. Ugh...such a stupid stupid necessary idea.

I'm also on the edge of maybe canceling my pull for this series. I'm going to give it an issue or so, just because I'm curious. I think that turning Frank into FranknCastle is just silly. I don't know how anyone would think this is a good idea for the Punisher character. I've been a Punisher fan for the last twenty years or so and I think this is probably the most outrageous idea yet, but I'm hoping that it's not as bad as we think it might be.
 
Also, just remember that Marvel is doing a month of "zombie covers" so these could be alternate covers (like the other "zombie" covers).
