Cuddly, Lovable, Docile.....that won't do at all
The Punisher has been gone for a while but he's back now. He has the Gnucci family in his sights and starts in on them in the first few pages. Ma Gnucci is his ultimate goal and he shoots up her family to get to her. Along the way he tolerates and possibly befriends his neighbors. He fights off multiple assassins including the ginormous Russian and finally deals with three copy cat vigilantes. The Punisher is so bad a$$ he goes to the zoo and punches Polar Bears. Yeah. Take that Norris. However my favorite part of all twelve issues, he puts Daredevil in his place by forcing him to make a choice. The same choice that he makes every day. Welcome Back, Frank is basically the prelude to the Marvel Knights 37 issue run.Back to a world of killers. Rapists. Psychos. Perverts. A brand new evil every minute, spewed out as fast as men can think them up. A world where pitching a criminal dwarf off a skyscraper to tell his fellow scum you're back is a sane and rational act.

Long story short.......it's the Punisher.......written by Ennis. Fans of Ennis are aware that this is all you really need to know. His brilliantly written Castle with his trademark dark humor makes this a fun read. I've read this at least 5 times and it's always enjoyable.
